Cloth Diapers

So the NICU nurses thought I was nuts when I said I was planning on cloth diapering the boys! One even said, "we'll see at the reunion if you're still doing it!" Well when someone doubts me is really when I become determined...

I have to say that I actually LOVE cloth diapering!!! It was not an Eco decision in my mind it was a financial decision & a "never have to make an emergency run to Target for diapers" decision. ;). None the less I love little fluffy butts in colorful cloth diapers!!!

What kind or brand? I get asked this frequently... Today's "modern cloth diapers" are not our mothers generation of cloth diapers. There are no pins & no plastic pants! I have used several kinds & several brands, I haven't really run across a cloth diaper I dislike.
I stated our boys out in Rump A Roos Lil Joeys, they are a all in one preemie diaper. All in ones take a long time to dry, that is the only disadvantage to them. From there I moved into Rump A Roos one size Pocket diapers. I also use Bum Genius one size pockets. I use Econo Bums when everything else is dirty or drying. They are close to our moms cloth diapers with a prefold inside a cover, no pins though :) I became interested in some Hybrid diapers when I ran across some on sale. I have half a dozen Gro Via hybrids & one Flip I got free with an order from cottonbabies.com. They are all one size too & I love them just as much as my RAR's & BG's.

As far as fit goes, I have one guy that is narrower & thinner than the other 2. I find Rump A Roos & Gro Vias are a little more fitted for slimmer little ones. Bum Genius fit very well too, just the others have more elastic & are more fitted.

If you have more questions please feel free to email me or leave your question in the comments :o)
